PHOENIX — The NCAA men's Final Four is coming to a close. With the Championship game scheduled for April 8, you may be packing up and getting ready to leave Phoenix. But before you do, TSA has a favor to ask: Don't put your official game program in your checked bag.
That's right. According to the NCAA website, the thickness of the official NCAA men's Final Four game program, as well as the type of glossy paper it is printed on, creates a bulk mass in your checked luggage. TSA has to hand inspect those pieces of luggage typically and doing so will cause potential delays in the security screening process, the website said.
So if you're headed home by plane, do yourself and your fellow passengers a favor: Pack your game program in your carry-on bag! Aside from having some light reading on the ride home, you may be sparing everyone from a security snafu.
