TEMPE, Ariz. — Have you always dreamt of becoming a professional basketball player? If so, you will soon have a chance to make your dream come true as the Phoenix Suns' new G-League affiliate, the Valley Suns, will be holding open tryouts in September.
The Valley Suns will hold their tryout on Saturday, Sept. 7 in the Maroon and Gold gyms at the Sun Devil Fitness Complex on Arizona State University's Tempe campus.
Players will have the opportunity to impress the team's coaches and earn an invite to training camp in October.
The tryouts will be held from 9-12:30 p.m. on Sept. 7 and check-in will begin at 8 a.m. The SDFC is located at 400 E Apache Boulevard in Tempe. Parking will be available in the Apache Boulevard garage on the west side of the SDFC.

You must be 18 years old or older to try out.
The Valley Suns will open their inaugural season in November and will play their home games at ASU's Mullett Arena. The team's schedule is expected to be released "in the fall of 2024."

The city of Phoenix is home to four major professional sports league teams; The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's Phoenix Suns, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Cardinals have made State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home turf and the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix is home to both the Suns and the Mercury. The Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers play at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
Phoenix also has a soccer team with the USL's Phoenix Rising FC, who play at Phoenix Rising FC Stadium in Phoenix.
The Valley hosts multiple major sporting events every year, including college football's Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl; the PGA Tour’s highest-attended event, the WM Phoenix Open; NASCAR events each spring and fall, including Championship Weekend in November; and Cactus League Spring Training for 15 Major League Baseball franchises.
