The Phoenix Suns will kick off the preseason with a game against a popular California foe, the Los Angeles Lakers, on Oct. 6 at 6:30 p.m. The first home preseason game against the Detroit Pistons will be Oct. 11 at 7 p.m.

The first official game of the season is an away game against the Los Angeles Clippers on Oct. 23 and the first home game of the 2024-25 season is on Oct. 26 against the Dallas Mavericks.
The league's second annual in-season competition, the Emirates NBA Cup, includes a Sunsmatchup against the Utah Jazz in early November as well as a game against the Oklahoma City Thunder. If you want to see an Emirates Cup game at home, head to the Footprint Center on Nov. 26 for a Suns Lakers game at 8 p.m.
For the fourth consecutive year, the Suns will play on Christmas Day, hosting the Denver Nuggets on Dec. 25 at 8:30 p.m.
There's only one opportunity to see the Suns take on a famed East Coast opponent in Phoenix: the Boston Celtics will play the Suns at Footprint Center on March 26 at 7 p.m.
The final home game of the regular season will come against the Spurs on Friday, April 11 as the Suns host Fry’s Fan Appreciation Night. The Suns will conclude the 2024-25 regular season schedule on Sunday, April 13 at the Sacramento Kings.

To purchase tickets online, head to Ticket Master. While you can buy tickets through third-party sites, all tickets purchased through the Phoenix Suns, Ticketmaster, Ticketmaster affiliates or the Footprint Center box office will come with a "Fan Guarantee."
The Fan Guarantee will provide that tickets purchased for any Suns game will be eligible for a refund at the point of purchase if the ticketed game is canceled or played in an empty arena.
Arizona sports
The city of Phoenix is home to four major professional sports league teams; The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's Phoenix Suns, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Cardinals have made State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home turf and the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix is home to both the Suns and the Mercury. The Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers play at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.
Phoenix also has a soccer team with the USL's Phoenix Rising FC, who play at Phoenix Rising FC Stadium in Phoenix.
The Valley hosts multiple major sporting events on a yearly basis, including college football's Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl; the PGA Tour’s highest-attended event, the WM Phoenix Open; NASCAR events each spring and fall, including Championship Weekend in November; and Cactus League Spring Training for 15 Major League Baseball franchises.
