Phoenix Suns acquire Nets' O'Neale, Grizzlies' Roddy in 3-team trade, report says

The Suns added two new contributors to their bench ahead of the upcoming NBA trade deadline.

PHOENIX — A pair of players are joining the Phoenix Suns Thursday as a part of a three-way trade, a recent report said.

According to NBA insider Shams Charania, the Suns are acquiring Royce O'Neale from the Brooklyn Nets and David Roddy from the Memphis Grizzlies in a three-team deal. The trade reportedly includes three second-round picks and matching salaries.

Arizona Sports John Gambadoro is reporting the Suns are sending Keita Bates-Diop, Chimezie Metu, Yuta Watanabe and Jordan Goodwin in the trade.

O'Neale, 30, is a strong power forward who can bring stability and much-needed size to the Phoenix bench. In Brooklyn, he averaged 7.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists this year.

Roddy is a 6-foot-4, 255-pound wing and will look to carve out a spot in the bench rotation. He was averaging 8.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists over 23.2 minutes per game with the Grizzlies.
