PHOENIX — The Phoenix Suns have added a new guard to their roster.

Officials with the Suns announced Tuesday that the team has signed 28-year-old guard Tyus Jones. Terms of the deal were not disclosed, per team policy.

The 6'1'' Jones posted career highs last season with the Washington Wizards, averaging 12.0 points on 48.9% shooting from the field and 41.4% from three-point range, 7.3 assists and 2.7 rebounds in 66 games.

In 2023-24, Jones dished 485 assists against only 66 turnovers, that 7.35 ratio helped him rank as the best single-season mark in NBA history.

The guard holds career averages of 7.4 points, 4.3 assists and 1.0 steals in 601 career games with several teams including the Minnesota Timberwolves (2015-19), Memphis Grizzlies (2019-23) and Wizards (2023-24).

Originally the 24th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Jones played collegiately at Duke University where he led the Blue Devils to the 2015 NCAA Championship.
