ARLINGTON, Texas — Ketel Marte is officially the Joe DiMaggio of postseason baseball!
The Arizona Diamondbacks' second baseman hit a 2 RBI single in the top of the 8th inning of Game 2 of the World Series against the Texas Rangers at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
That made Game 2 the 18th postseason game in a row that Marte has gotten at least one hit, which is the longest streak in the history of the MLB postseason.
That is also every postseason game Marte has ever played in.
On Friday night, Marte extended the streak to 17 games with an RBI double in the fifth inning off of Rangers starting pitcher Nathan Eovaldi.
