Here's a look at the D-backs National League championship rings

The D-backs went on a tear in the 2023 MLB Playoffs, winning their first NL championship in 22 years. Here's a look at the championship rings given to players.

PHOENIX — It was time to shine bright like a diamond(back) at Chase Field on Friday night as the D-backs gave out their National League championship rings to players, coaches and members of the front office in a pregame ceremony before their game against the Colorado Rockies.

The D-backs won the rings by defeating the Phillies in seven games in October 2023 to advance to their first World Series since 2001. The D-backs went on to lose the World Series to the Texas Rangers, four games to one.

The ring is made from 10-karat yellow gold and has a total of 85 round-cut diamonds, four princess-cut diamonds and 27 pieces of black onyx. The gemstones combine to weigh about 2.05 carats, according to ring maker Jostens.

The D-backs' iconic 'A' logo is on the top of the ring and is filled with 27 round diamonds, which are set next to a piece of black ceramic.

Forty-one round-cut diamonds surround the 'A' logo, which are meant to represent Arizona's 40-man roster that won the NL championship plus manager Torey Lovullo.

Also surrounding the 'A' logo is a baseball diamond made from yellow gold. Seventeen round diamonds are set in the basepaths and four princess-cut diamonds are set in place of first, second and third bases along with home plate. Those diamonds are also meant to represent the four wins it took to beat the Phillies in the NL Championship Series.

Twenty-seven pieces of black onyx are set on the outside edge of the top of the ring, just below the words "National League Champions."

On the left side of the ring, each recipient will see their last name and number along with the team's motto 'Embrace the Chaos.'

The letter a in the word 'Chaos' is the D-backs 'A' logo once again, this time made out of red and black ceramic. The left side of the ring also features a snakeskin-patterned background.

The right side of the ring has the words 'We are the D-backs,' which is part of the team's employee philosophy. An image of the National League championship trophy is set in the middle of Arizona's alternate snake logo that looks like the letter 'D.'

One round diamond is set in the flag on the top of the NL Championship trophy.

Both sides of the ring also feature a snakeskin-patterned background.

The inside of the ring features Arizona's iconic 'A' logo once more, which is above the results of the three playoff series the team won to capture the NL pennant.
