Triple Threat: December 10, 2023

In this week's edition of 'Triple Threat,' Cameron Cox, Lina Washington and Luke Lyddon give their takes on three of the biggest stories in Valley sports

PHOENIX — It's 'Triple Threat' time with the 12Sports Team!

This week Cameron Cox, Lina Washington and Luke Lyddon give their takes on three of the hottest sports topics in the Valley.  And yes, it's still hot in the Valley in December!

The first topic this week is the NBA's In-Season Tournament.  Cam, Lina and Luke specifically address whether the debut event was a 'hit' or a 'miss'.  In the first segment (0:00-3:15), the team discusses how players bought into the idea and delivered a playoff-like atmosphere for fans with their effort towards the new tourney.

In the second segment (3:15-5:55), Cam, Lina and Luke recognize the return of the Pride of Perry...Brock Purdy.  Will it be a homecoming celebration for Purdy or a continued revival for Kyler Murray?  The 12Sports team talks about which 'Arizona' QB will have the most success in this Week 15 matchup between the 49ers and Cardinals.

In the final segment (5:55-10:30), the 12Sports team takes a swing at the D-backs offseason moves.  Are they doing enough to defend their National League Title?  Cam, Lina, and Luke discuss how the Dodgers landing Shohei Ohtani is a major threat to the D-backs winning the NL West...or is it?

Be sure to join in the conversation by letting the 12Sports team know your thoughts on X (formerly known as Twitter) by sending your thoughts to @12SportsAZ, @CamCox12, @LWashingtonTV and/or @Luke_Lyddon
