TEMPE, Ariz. — A popular Valley college bar will be closing its doors at the end of December.

Devil's Advocate Sports Grill, located near Rural Road and University Drive in Tempe, will operate until Saturday, Dec. 28, according to a Facebook post from the establishment.

The post said the bar made the "difficult decision" to sell its long-term leasehold back to the property owners and cease operations to "make way for an exciting new development project in the area."

"This has been a very hard decision to make, but we're incredibly proud of everything we've accomplished at Devil's Advocate," the owner of Devil's Advocate, Jared Stetser, said in the Facebook post.

The Devil's Advocate has been an ASU and Valley sports staple for 15 years.

"We've had the privilege of working with some truly amazing people over the years and we want to thank our incredible customers for their loyalty and support," Stetser said in the Facebook post. "Your smiles, stories and laughter have made every game day, every meal, and every gathering unforgettable. You will always have a place in our hearts."

We love you, Tempe 🔱
