Phoenix restaurants near Chase Field

Looking for a place to eat, drink and watch the World Series? Check out these local spots.

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks are hungry for a chance to win the World Series. Fans are, too – but if you are also hungry for some good downtown Phoenix eats before the game, 12News has you covered. 

Here are a few places within walking distance that are open before, during and after the games in downtown Phoenix.

Huss Brewing Co. Arizona

A local, independent craft brewery based in Tempe that has locations in uptown Phoenix and downtown Phoenix. The downtown location has an extensive menu of beer and American fare. Huss Brewing Downtown also features a quick service to-go counter for fans running late to the game.

The Desmond Spirits & Oven

The European inspired gastropub has local brews, craft cocktails, pizza and sandwiches. Lucky for fans, every Wednesday, the Desmond has select wines for just $5-10 and select pizzas for $20.

Coabana

This Cuban-inspired cocktail and tapas lounge promises to bring customers to the streets of Havana. There are no reservations at the restaurant and this one is open late, so fans can enjoy a pre-game snack or a post-game celebration at Coabana.

Majerle’s Sports Grill

For fans looking to avoid the crowds in the stadium, Majerle’s is filled with TVs and is known as “THE place” to enjoy watching sports. The restaurant has been serving the downtown Phoenix sports community for over 30 years and features everything from classic starters to burgers and cocktails.

Blanco Cocina & Cantina 


From cheese crisps to chimichangas, Blanco Cocina & Cantina has fans looking for a laid back atmosphere and good eats covered. From 3 to 6 p.m., fans can also enjoy happy hour specials.

Willie’s Taco Joint

So close to the big game you can taste it — and you can taste some delicious tacos, too. This locally owned and operated restaurant right down the street from Chase Field features cocktails, beer, tacos, burritos and more.

Crown Public House

Another option close to the field, Crown Public House, is a great spot for fans before, during and after the game to keep up with the action. The restaurant has many TVs and features beer, shareables and entrees from sandwiches to fish and chips.

Guy Fieri’s DTPHX Kitchen + Bar at Caesars Sportsbook 

The two-story, 22,300-square-foot entertainment destination is adjacent to Chase Field and features nine betting windows, 13 self-service betting kiosks and a total capacity for more than 425 fans. Looking for some Fieri classics? The restaurant features the world-famous Trash Can Nachos and award-winning Bacon Mac ‘n’ Cheeseburger.

Arizona sports

The city of Phoenix is home to five major professional sports league teams; The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's Phoenix Suns, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks and NHL's Arizona Coyotes.  

The Cardinals have made the State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home turf and the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix is home to both the Suns and the Mercury. The Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers also play at the Footprint. Phoenix has a soccer team with the USL's Phoenix Rising FC. 

The Valley hosts multiple major sporting events on a yearly basis, including college football's Fiesta Bowl and Cactus Bowl; the PGA Tour’s highest-attended event, the Waste Management Phoenix Open; NASCAR events each spring and fall; and Cactus League Spring Training.
