TEMPE, Ariz. — Cam Skattebo is back, Sun Devils fans!
The Arizona State senior running back will be back on the field when the Sun Devils take on Kansas State Wildcats, head coach Kenny Dillingham said.
"He's doing really well, he's gonna play, barring something changing," Dillingham said. "I fully expect him to play this week... the guy just loves to compete, they love that. It's exciting to get him back."
Skattebo was out of the game against University of Central Florida — where ASU won 35-31 — because of a shoulder injury he suffered in the team's big win against Okalhoma State. It was the first game he had missed as a Sun Devil.
In that game, he had 274 all-purpose yards and three touchdowns, earning him the title of Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season. Skattebo is the nation's seventh-leading rusher with 1,001 yards this season. He is averaging 125.1 yards per game and has scored 11 touchdowns on the ground. He has added 404 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns to that total.
