VOTE: Friday Night Fever Week 7 Sweet Play of the Week

All of the weekly winners will contend for a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of Sweet James Accident Attorneys.

PHOENIX — The Friday Night Fever crew has chosen the top three plays from Week 7 of high school football action, but it is up to you, the fans to decide which one of those plays is worthy of being called the Sweet Play of the Week! 

Each week on FNF, Arizona's No. 1 and longest-running high school football show, we show you the top three plays from that week in high school football, which we call "Sweet Plays." After that, it is up to you to choose which one is the top play of the week by logging onto 12News.com/Fever and voting in our Sweet Plays of the Week poll! 

At the end of the season, all of the weekly winners will contend for a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of Sweet James Accident Attorneys.

Week 7 Sweet Play of the Week Nominees 

Here are the plays that have been nominated to become the Sweet Play of the Week:  

  1. Casteel's Paul Palmer game-winning TD pass to Riley Hunt in 4th OT
  2. Vista Grande's Eltorna Gant 70-yard TD pass to Thomas Ortega
  3.  Deer Valley fake end around TD pass from Tyler Lebaron to Coleston Paxton

Arizona sports

The Cardinals have made State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home turf and the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix is home to both the Suns and the Mercury. The Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers play at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.

Phoenix also has a soccer team with the USL's Phoenix Rising FC, who play at Phoenix Rising FC Stadium in Phoenix.

The Valley hosts multiple major sporting events every year, including college football's Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl; the PGA Tour’s highest-attended event, the WM Phoenix Open; NASCAR events each spring and fall, including Championship Weekend in November; and Cactus League Spring Training for 15 Major League Baseball franchises.
