==============================

Halloween is almost here and that means it is just about playoff time for the 34th season of Friday Night Fever, Arizona's #1 and longest-running high school football show!

And, as we have done for the past two seasons, we are making you, the fans, a huge part of FNF, by letting you choose the first highlight of the night, the Game of the Week!

With all of the work the 12Sports team was putting in for the Diamondbacks' trip to the National League Championship Series against the Phillies, we took a week off from the Game of the Week poll, but we are back for another week of voting with a huge week on the way as 2A and 3A will end their regular seasons and 4A, 5A and 6A will play their second-to-last games of the regular season.

With that in mind, here are the Week 10 Game of the Week nominees!

Game #1 this week is the 3A Metro East region championship game: Benjamin Franklin at Valley Christian, who both come into the game 3-0 in region play.

Head coach Jacob Petersen and Valley Christian are 8-1 on the season and ranked #3 in 3A. The Trojans started the season 5-0 by beating Tempe, Florence, Thatcher, Seton Catholic and Scottsdale Christian before suffering their lone loss of the season to Paradise Honors. Since then, they have beaten Gilbert Christian, Bourgade Catholic and Payson.

Head Coach Danny Norris and Benjamin Franklin are 7-2 on the season and ranked #9 in 3A. The Chargers started the season with wins over Crismon and Coolidge before they lost back-to-back games to Pusch Ridge and Arcadia. Since then, the Chargers have rolled off wins over Bourgade Catholic, ALA-Ironwood, Tempe, Florence, and Gilbert Christian.

This will be the fourth time Benjamin Franklin and Valley Christian will meet on the gridiron. BFHS leads the series 2-1.

Agua Fria at Apollo

Game #2 is a game that could decide the 5A Northwest region title: Agua Fria at Apollo.

Head Coach Aaron Walls and Apollo are 7-1 this season and ranked #5 in 5A. The Hawks started the season by beating Sunnyside from Tucson then lost their only game of the season so far to Sunnyslope. Since then Apollo has beaten Thunderbird, West Point, North, Barry Goldwater, Shadow Ridge and Willow Canyon. Apollo is 2-0 in region play (Goldwater and Willow Canyon)

Head Coach Ricky Higuera and Agua Fria are 6-2 this season and ranked #20 in 5A, meaning a win over Apollo would not only help them win the region but would also likely solidify a playoff spot for the Owls. Agua Fria opened the season by beating Flowing Wells from Tucson but then lost to Canyon View. Then they rolled off five straight wins over North Canyon, Betty H. Fairfax, Tolleson Union, Ironwood and Willow Canyon before losing to Barry Goldwater last week. Agua Fria is 2-1 in region play (wins over Ironwood and Willow Canyon, loss to Barry Goldwater)

This will be the 14th meeting between Agua Fria and Apollo. The first was in 1974 and the latest was last season. Apollo leads the series 7-6 and is on a 3-game win streak.

North at Central

And Game #3 is the likely 5A Metro region championship game and a classic Phoenix rivalry, North at Central.

Reigning Friday Night Fever Coach of the Year Chandler Hovik and Central are 7-1 on the season and ranked #14 in 5A. The Bobcats started the season with wins over Paradise Valley, Ironwood and Dobson before their only loss, which came to Mountain Pointe by just seven points. Since then, Central has won four games in a row by beating North Canyon, South Mountain, Trevor Brown and Betty H. Fairfax. Central is 3-0 in region play (South Mountain, Trevor Browne and Betty H. Fairfax).

Head Coach Mark Mejia and North are 4-4 on the season and ranked #30 in 5A. The Mustangs started the year with losses to ALA-Gilbert North, Desert View and St. Mary's before getting their first win of the season over Westview. A loss to Apollo followed that, but North hasn't lost since then winning their three region games so far over Betty H. Fairfax, Camelback and Trevor Browne.

This will be the 50th meeting between Central and North. The first was in 1959 and the latest was last year. Central leads the series 29-20 and is on a two-game win streak.
