The final whistle has blown on another week of high school football in Arizona! Watch all of the highlights from Week 6 of Friday Night Fever here.

Week 6 of Friday Night Fever's 35th saw the 12Sports team head to Queen Creek for our game of the Week and Anthem for our On the Road game!

PHOENIX — The calendar has flipped to October, which means we have entered the second half of the high school football regular season here in Arizona and we are just days away from seeing the first rankings for the Open Division, 6A, 5A, and 4A.  

This week was also fall break for many schools, which meant a lot of games were played on Thursday night instead of Friday.

But we still saw a ton of great games on Friday night, including our Game of the Week down in Queen Creek and our On the Road game up in Anthem. 

Now, let's take a look at the highlights from Week 6 of the 35th season of Friday Night Fever, Arizona's No. 1 and longest-running high school football show.  

Game of the Week: ALA-Queen Creek (6-0) stays undefeated with 17-0 win over Mountain Pointe (4-2) 

The matchup between ALA-Queen Creek and Mountain Pointe won the title of Game of the Week by getting 61.5% of the 150,487 votes in this week's Game of the Week poll! 

ALA-QC defended their home turf and moved into prime position to be ranked in the top eight of the initial Open Division playoff rankings after beating Mountain Pointe on Friday night. Watch the highlights and postgame reaction below.

Basha (5-1) defeats Brophy (5-1), 35-32, hands Broncos first loss of 2024 season 

Basha stayed undefeated against teams from Arizona by winning a close game over Brophy, who suffered their first loss of the year. Watch the highlights below. 

Liberty (4-1) gets dominant win over Chandler (4-2), 45-20  

Could we see a repeat Open Division champion? Liberty looked the part in their 45-20 win over Chandler on Friday night. Watch the highlights below. Video courtesy of YurView. 

Centennial (2-4, 1-0) beats Saguaro (0-6, 0-1) 30-20  

The Centennial Coyotes got their first 6A Northeast Valley region win of the season by defeating Saguaro on Friday night. Watch the highlights below. Video courtesy of the Fiesta Bowl. 

Red Mountain (6-0, 2-0) hands Highland (5-1, 0-1) their first loss of the season, 28-11 

In a battle of two of the East Valley's top teams, Red Mountain showed they are a team to watch for the Open Division by beating Highland, who made the Open Division semifinals last season. Watch the highlights below. 

Mountain View (5-1, 2-0) demolishes Westwood (4-2, 0-1), 50-6 

The All-Mesa battle on Thursday night went to the Toros, who defeated their crosstown rival handily. Watch the highlights below. 

Cesar Chavez (4-2, 1-0) opens 6A Fiesta region play with a 25-12 win over Desert Ridge (0-6, 0-2) 

The Champions got their first-ever win over Desert Ridge in their first region game of the season. Watch the highlights below. 

Fever Flyover: Desert Edge (3-3, 1-0) beats Millennium (2-4, 0-1), Cactus (4-2, 1-0) defeats Canyon View (3-3, 0-1), Valley Vista (1-5) wins big over Willow Canyon (2-4) 

Sky12 was in the West Valley, where it saw Desert Edge beat Millennium, 40-13, in a 5A Desert West region game, Cactus defeat Canyon View, 30-23, in a 5A Desert West region game and Valley Vista beat Willow Canyon, 44-0, in a non-region game. Watch the highlights below. 

Snowflake (5-0) shuts out Seton Catholic (4-2), 41-0 

The Snowflake Lobos kept their undefeated season going by coming down to Chandler and defeating Seton Catholic. Watch the highlights below. 

Estrella Foothills (4-2, 1-0) defeats Maryvale (1-5, 0-1), 41-6, in region matchup 

The Estrella Foothills Wolves opened 4A Copper Sky region play by defeating the Maryvale Panthers on Friday night. Watch the highlights below.  

AZ College Prep (5-1, 1-0) opens 4A Desert Sky region play with a 42-12 win over Vista Grande (4-2, 1-1) 

AZ College Prep took a trip down from Chandler to Casa Grande and came home with a region victory on Thursday night. Watch the highlights below. 

On the Road: Boulder Creek (1-5, 1-0) opens region play with 64-22 win over Mountain Ridge (1-5, 0-1)   

Boulder Creek got their first win of the season and their first region win of the season on Friday night! 12Sports journalist Lina Washington was on the road with the Jaguars and has the highlights.

Week 6 Sweet Plays of the Week 

And finally, we revealed the nominees for the Week 6 Sweet Plays of the Week!  

As a reminder, each week three plays will be nominated to become the Sweet Play of the Week and will be voted on by you, the fans. 

Each weekly winner will be eligible to become the Sweet Play of the Year, with the player in the winning play at the end of the season taking home a $5,000 scholarship, courtesy of Sweet James Accident Attorneys.

Arizona sports 

The city of Phoenix is home to four major professional sports league teams; The NFL's Arizona Cardinals, NBA's Phoenix Suns, WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury and MLB's Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Cardinals have made State Farm Stadium in Glendale their home turf and the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix is home to both the Suns and the Mercury. The Indoor Football League’s Arizona Rattlers play at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale.

Phoenix also has a soccer team with the USL's Phoenix Rising FC, who play at Phoenix Rising FC Stadium in Phoenix.

The Valley hosts multiple major sporting events every year, including college football's Fiesta Bowl and Guaranteed Rate Bowl; the PGA Tour’s highest-attended event, the WM Phoenix Open; NASCAR events each spring and fall, including Championship Weekend in November; and Cactus League Spring Training for 15 Major League Baseball franchises.
