SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Fans at the WM Phoenix Open are treated to some incredible experiences. From the large crowds, great golf and iconic 16th hole, the popular PGA tournament is a bucket list event for many golf fans.
And one lucky fan at this year's tournament has an amazing story to tell.
Thanks to a video posted by the PGA X (formerly Twitter) account, a video was shared of a great moment between golfer Joel Dahmen and a fan in the stands.
In the video, Dahmen is seen throwing free t-shirts into the crowd at the 16th hole. When the fan unravels the shirt, a note and some cash roll out.
"Enjoy a cold one on me," the note read.
"What a beast! He makes this tournament," the man said with a smile. "He makes it."
It's safe to say the fan has a memory that will last a lifetime. And he enjoyed a cold beer thanks to his new favorite golfer.
