TUCSON, Ariz. — Atlanta Falcons running back Bijan Robinson is a Tucson local, and he's showing some love to his childhood team, the Tucson Falcons. He surprised them with 400 tickets to the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl.
Together with their coaches and parents, the young athletes are going to fill up an entire section in the north endzone this weekend.
The Bijan Robinson Foundation purchased 200 tickets for the Falcons, and the Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl matched that donation with another 200 tickets.
“I hope this opportunity to see a bowl game in person fuels their dreams to play at a high level,” said Robinson.
In his youth, Robinson played for the Tucson Falcons. Now, in his first year in the NFL, he's a two-time Arizona Bowl Player of the Year.
“Bijan [Robinson] is a fantastic person not to mention a generational talent,” said Del Arvayo, Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl Chief Operations Officer. “It’s been an honor to work with him and his foundation to recognize the talent in high school football and inspire these young athletes to one day play in a bowl game.”
The 2023 Barstool Sports Arizona Bowl at Arizona Stadium in Tucson will feature the Toledo Rockies vs the Wyoming Cowboys. It will air at 2 p.m. MST on Dec. 30 on Barstool TV and the CW Network.
