TEMPE, Ariz. — With the 25th pick in the NFL Draft, the San Francisco 49ers selected Arizona State wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.
It's the second straight year the Sun Devils have had a wideout taken in the first round, after the Patriots took N'Keal Harry in 2019.
Aiyuk was a star for the Sun Devils in his senior season in 2019 totaling near 1,200 receiving yards and eight touchdowns.
Aiyuk's signature play was in ASU's upset win over the 6th-ranked Oregon Ducks this past season.
Aiyuk spoke with 12 Sports' Cameron Cox prior to the draft.
Aiyuk joins the 49ers, who played in Super Bowl LIV in February, losing to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aiyuk earned third-team Associated Press All-American and first-team All-Pac-12 honors after leading the Sun Devils with 65 receptions and 1,192 receiving yards in 2019.
