PHOENIX — The Phoenix and ASU police departments are investigating reports of "shots fired" in the area of 3rd Avenue and Fillmore Street.
A man was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon for a gunshot wound and the surrounding scene was placed under lockdown. Phoenix police said the incident did not take place on the downtown ASU campus.
The university's police department put out an alert Friday afternoon that they were looking for a suspect that's been described as a Black male who was wearing a black t-shirt and light-colored pants.
ASU police said the individual fled in a white Chevy Suburban with blue and red stripes. Anyone with info can call 602-262-6151.
