Why just watch the beauty of Augusta National Golf Club on television when you can drink it in?

Why just watch the beauty of Augusta National Golf Club on television when you can drink it in? In honor of Thursday being National Beer Day, a brew (unmasterfully) paired with each of the 18 holes, all of which are named after plants:

1. Tea Olive, 445-yard par-4: Japanese Green Tea IPA by Stone Brewing (collaboration with Baird and Ishii) – A tea shot for the first tee shot.

2. Pink Dogwood, 575-yard par-5:Adam from the Wood by Hair of the Dog Brewing (oak-aged old ale) – A powerful whack (12% alcohol by volume) for Augusta's longest hole.

3. Flowering Peach, 350-yard par-4: Tree Shaker Imperial Peach IPA by Odell Brewing – The 1979 Masters champion was Fuzzy Zoeller.

4. Flowering Crab Apple, 240-yard par-3: Apple Ale by New Glarus Brewing – If you want to be a stickler, you could blend it with Flying Dog Dead Rise. (Don't.) (Ed's Note: Do it. Old Bay goes with everything.)

5. Magnolia, 455-yard par-4: Southern Pecan by Lazy Magnolia Brewing (English nut brown ale) – The fairway bunkers will punish a lazy tee shot.

6. Juniper, 180-yard par-3: Sah'tea by Dogfish Head (ancient ale brewed with juniper berries) – Undulating green, unusual drink.

7. Pampas, 450-yard par-4: Tank 7 Farmhouse by Boulevard Brewing – The narrow, tree-lined fairway resembles a boulevard.

8. Yellow Jasmine, 570-yard par-5: Avatar Jasmine IPA by Elysian Brewing – Not everyone can appreciate jasmine in beer or hit a blind shot uphill.

9. Carolina Cherry, 460-yard par-4: Black Angel Cherry Sour by Wicked Weed Brewing – Rolling off this hole's sloped green also creates sourness.

10. Camellia, 495-yard par-4: Nefarious Ten Pin Imperial Porter by Ska Brewing – The 10th indeed is nefarious, historically the toughest hole on the course.

11. White Dogwood, 505-yard par-4: White by Allagash Brewing (witbier) – A refreshing beer for the rigors of Amen Corner.

12. Golden Bell, 155-yard par-3: Smitten Golden Rye by Bell's Brewery – Things can go awry on this seemingly easy hole.

13. Azalea, 510-yard par-5: Wild Azalea Saison by Southern Brewing – This one, like playing at Augusta, requires a trip to Georgia.

14. Chinese Fir, 440-yard par-4: Remnant of Dragon by Greenbush Brewing (red ale) – Chinese amateur Cheng Jin, 18, is living the fantasy.

15. Firethorn, 530-yard par-5: Easy Jack by Firestone Walker (session IPA) – Six-time Masters champion Nicklaus made it look easy.

16. Redbud, 170-yard par-3: Redbud by Independence Brewing (Berliner Weisse) – Independence is in Austin, where defending champion Jordan Spieth attended the University of Texas.

17. Nandina, 440-yard par-4: Pinedrops by Deschutes Brewery (IPA) – The famed Eisenhower Tree, a loblolly pine on this hole, dropped in 2014. RIP, tree.

18. Holly, 465-yard par 4: Holly King by Green Man Brewery (winter warmer) – The green jacket man rules.
