Week one in fantasy all about tight ends

Tight ends dominated fantasy football during week one.

Okay, week one of the NFL season isn't technically over, you're right. But as of Sunday night, tight ends dominated fantasy football headlines.

In ESPN leagues, three of the top ten scorers overall were tight ends. Rob Gronkowski ( 27 points) was the tied for the highest scoring player with his quarterback Tom Brady.

Travis Kelce (22 points), Tyler Eifert (22 points) and Austin Seferian-Jenkins (23 points) all had huge days for fantasy owners, and it's safe to say if you had any of them you're probably sitting pretty Sunday night.

Rookie Marcus Mariota also snuck onto everyone's fantasy radar (24 points), throwing for four touchdowns in his NFL debut.

I'd expect he'll be a popular waiver wire commodity this week.

It's also worth noting for all you Arizona Cardinals fans that Carson Palmer had the third most points (25) of any player in ESPN leagues.

The Broncos defense/special teams also impressed Sunday racking up 18 points.
