NEW YORK - By day, Lester Holt plays a news anchor on TV. By night (or at least in his free time), he plays bass.
That's right, the NBC Nightly News anchor unwinds by getting into the groove.
During Mark Curtis' recent visit to 30 Rock, Holt pulled out his bass and started plucking the strings.
When Curtis asked if Holt liked Motown, Holt immediately broke out some Temptations.
Currently, Holt said he's working on Billy Squier's Lonely is the Night.
Holt's bass playing isn't a total secret.
Making Music Mag profiled Holt's musical skills in 2009.
And he joined the Roots on The Tonight Show in 2014.
