Ryan Reynolds writes tribute to young Deadpool fan who died from cancer

Ryan Reynolds, star of the recent comic-book superhero film, Deadpool, took to Facebook to honor a 13-year-old fan who recently lost his battle with Cancer.

Ryan Reynolds, star of the recent comic-book superhero film "Deadpool," took to Facebook to honor a 13-year-old fan who recently lost his battle with cancer.

The letter is full of touching and lighthearted moments, a signature of Reynolds' personality that fans have come to know and love.

"Connor was a great friend, a great son, and a light to the people lucky enough to know him," Reynolds wrote. "He was unqualified funny. He had that... thing."

While fighting his illness, Connor McGrath had a wish to be able to see the Deadpool movie and meet Reynolds.

And the Make-a-Wish foundation helped make that dream a reality.

According to Reynolds' letter, McGrath was the first person to see the comic-book movie. And after the meeting, the two still kept in touch.
