Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival: $50 giveaways every hour

The 23rd Cinco de Mayo Festival will take place in Downtown Phoenix, May 7, 2016.

Thursday, May 5 is Cinco de Mayo, which commemorates the victory of Mexican militia over the French army at the Battle of Puebla 1862.

The 23rd annual Cinco de Mayo Phoenix Festival wants you to come to Downtown Phoenix to celebrate this day. The festival is one of the longest-running event of its kind in Arizona and you don't want to miss out.

If you decide to attend the festival, you can look forward to Lucha Libre, Ballet Folklorico, a kid zone for your kiddos, live entertainment from Platinum artists including; El Chicano, Brenton Wood and Sunny Ozuna, just to name a few.

Plus, every hour the festival will be doing $50 giveaways at random during contests!

When: Saturday, May 7 -- 2:00 p.m. to midnight

Sunday, May 8 -- 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Where: Downtown Phoenix at 200 W. Washington St.

Admission: $5 before 5:00 p.m. & $15 after 5:00 p.m.
