PHOENIX — When it comes to seeing spectacular supermoons, cloudy weather is not ideal for getting a good view.
And with an active weather week ahead for Arizona, some doubt has been cast on the ability to get a good view of what will be the largest supermoon of 2019.
February's Full Snow Moon will be a spectacular sight to see in the sky. At one point early Tuesday morning, the moon will be the closest it will ever be to the Earth in 2019.
But fear not folks, Arizona's forecast is showing a short break in the stormy weather Tuesday and Wednesday before it picks up again with a stronger storm Thursday and Friday.
That break means the skies Tuesday night are looking clear for some good viewing conditions, the National Weather Service in Phoenix says.
The moon should be visible Monday night too, but it will technically be at its fullest Tuesday morning when it won't be visible.
If you're looking for the perfect view or photo of the supermoon, moonrise will put the moon closest to the horizon.
That's expected to be just after 6:30 p.m. Tuesday night.
