ARIZONA, USA — The state wants to hear from families who have members being cared for within the Arizona Long Term Care System (ALTCS).
Two surveys are being offered to gather information about the agency.
One is for those being cared for by ALTCS while the other is for their family members.
The surveys are being conducted by the Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System (AHCCCS) and the Arizona Department of Economic Security (DES).
Each survey will ask questions about whether members and families feel safe and protected from abuse and neglect.
They will be open until Nov. 17. Organizers said the responses are anonymous and will not be shared.
This year's surveys are a follow-up to the 2019 survey by the State’s Abuse and Neglect Prevention Task Force.
Those surveys resulted in recommendations regarding abuse and neglect prevention across state systems.
That led to the state launching SpeakUpAZ.org, an organization that works to raise awareness about how everyone can help protect vulnerable Arizonans from abuse and neglect.
