"Kiss a Ginger Day" is Jan. 12 and the story behind it is really inspiring.
Derek Forgie, a comedian, rocks the fiery locks. In a video he gets real about growing up with an "orange beacon on the top on your head." Adult Forgie describes hearing about children with red hair getting beat up by bullies calling it "Kick a Ginger Day."
Forgie said he started a Facebook group and invited several redheaded friends. The idea grew, a hashtag created, and #KissAGingerDay born.
