If you're driving a 2011 to 2015 Dodge Journey, you'll want to know about this. Dodge has issued a recall alert for this model according to Cars.Com.
There are approximately 144,000 model-year 2011-15 Dodge Journey SUVs equipped with the 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine.
According to Cars.Com, the problem is the plastic engine cover may dislodge and if that happens, it may come in contact with parts of the exhaust system system and could pose a risk of fire.
The problem was first discovered during an investigation by the automaker following three incidents in Chile. In each, the SUV was drive extensively over unpaved or uneven surfaces, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles stated.
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles said it is aware of one minor injury associated with the issue.
To fix the problem, dealers plan to install an upgraded engine cover retainer for free.
