From the Stars and Stripes to flags of more personal afflictions more than a hundred people gathered at Cactus Park in northwest Phoenix to showcase their support for Trump.

PHOENIX - Hundreds of Trump supporters gathered at Cactus Park in northwest Phoenix Saturday afternoon touting the rally as one year celebration of the president fighting for Americans.

President Donald Trump has been no stranger to controversy, especially recently with his plans to visit with Kim Jong Un, North Korea’s president. As well as recent trade tariffs and accusations by an adult films actress.

From the Stars and Stripes to flags of more personal afflictions more than a hundred people gathered at Cactus Park in northwest Phoenix to showcase their support for Trump.

Patriot Movement AZ, the group behind Saturday afternoon’s Trump Rally, describe themselves as a small group of citizens committed to changing the world.

“The time to act is now! The time to stand up and fight for this beautiful country is now. Nobody has just put the hammer down until Trump,” said Jennifer Harrison organizer of Patriot Movement AZ.

Harrison is hoping the rally will serve as encouragement to voters and a focus on the President’s policies and not on the latest controversy surrounding Trump, including plans to meet with Jong Un, trade tariffs and Stormy Daniels, the adult film actress, alleging an affair with Trump which he has repeatedly denied.

“People with half a brain can see past that tabloid garbage,” said Harrison.

The rally which brought people from all ages and demographics also included banners in support of Angel parents who have lost children to crimes committed by undocumented immigrants.

Saturday’s Trump Rally comes just before, former Democratic presidential candidate, Bernie Sanders visit to downtown Phoenix Sunday.
