Cindy McCain took to Twitter Monday to say she and husband, Sen. John McCain, had returned to their home near Sedona, or as she called it, their "beloved Hidden Valley."
Sen. McCain, who has been in Arizona since the beginning of the year receiving therapy in his battle against brain cancer, underwent intestinal surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Phoenix last week.
In the tweet, posted shortly after 5 p.m., Cindy McCain said the two were enjoying a "glorious Arizona sunset."
Sen. McCain's daughter, Meghan said on "The View" that her dad was "doing well" before thanking Mayo Clinic.
McCain's fellow Arizona senator, Jeff Flake, said he was "glad" McCain was back home.
