Gov. Tim Walz to travel to Phoenix in first solo trip since being named Vice President Kamala Harris' running mate

The vice presidential candidate will "deliver remarks" at a political event, according to a news release.

PHOENIX — Tim Walz is headed to State 48.

The vice presidential candidate is kicking off his first solo trip since becoming Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris' running mate. He will be traveling to Texas, Nevada and Arizona as part of his "Sun Belt Tour."

According to a news release, Walz will be speaking at a "political event." The release did not say what the event will be, only that it will be at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, which is just before when the Presidential Debate will air.
