PHOENIX (AP) - The number of registered voters in Arizona has grown since the last election.
The Secretary of State says over 14,000 new voters have registered, totaling about 3.6 million voters in the state.
The state has almost the same number of independent voters as Republican ones, or about 1.2 million each. It counts 1.1 million as Democrats.
Secretary of State Michele Regan says it's great to see enrollment rise because elections impact quality of life.
About 74 percent of registered voters cast a ballot in the 2016 election.
