ELECTION RESULTS: Biden, Trump win Arizona's Presidential Preference Election

There's no suspense about the winner, but we could see protest votes.

PHOENIX — Tuesday was Arizona's day to vote in the Presidential Preference Election

As predicted, President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump each won their party's contest. The AP projected both winners within minutes of results being released.

There was no suspense about the winner. But some Democratic voters chose to send a message to President Joe Biden over his Gaza policy through a protest vote for author Marianne Williamson.

On the Republican side, a strong vote for former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley could be viewed as a sign of weakness for former President Donald Trump.

RESULTS:

How are ballots counted?
