How to register to vote in Arizona

To be ballot ready come November, you need to register to vote in Arizona by Oct. 7.
Maricopa County is doing a few things to ensure voting equipment and locations are safe and secure during Arizona's primary election.

PHOENIX — Today is the last day to register to vote in Arizona. Are you ballot ready for the November General Election?

To register to vote in Arizona, you can head to the Arizona Department of Transportation Motor Vehicle Department to register online.

The online form is used for first-time voters, to update address or political party preference, to activate early voting status, or to update any other registration information.

Voters have until 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 7 to register to vote. While mail-in voter registration is available, many find the online form the easiest. Another easy way to register?

Renew your driver's license.

At the Motor Vehicles Department or some third-party MVD-authorized options, you can check a box that registers you to vote as you renew or obtain your Arizona driver's license.

If you need to check the status of your voter registration, there are a couple of options. You can visit your county's website or head to the state portal.

You can also fill out a voter registration form and mail it to your county recorder's office. There is also a National Mail Voter Registration available as well.

Once you're registered to vote, you can either vote in person on Election Day or mail in an early voting ballot. Information on early voting can be found on your county recorder's website.
