Former President Barack Obama headed to Tucson for campaign event

The former president is expected to visit southern Arizona on Oct. 18.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Former President Barack Obama is heading to Arizona next week.

The former president is scheduled to attend an event in Tucson for the Harris-Walz campaign on Oct. 18.

Obama will be joined by other special guests but additional details about the visit were not immediately released. We will update the story as more information becomes available.

News of Obama's upcoming visit to the Grand Canyon State comes as several representatives from both presidential campaigns participated in Arizona events.
