2.1 million people in Maricopa County voted, early data shows

Results reported by county elections officials now represent nearly 60% of all eligible voters.
12News confirmed Monday that an Arizona-based group has caused registration problems in Maricopa County and now there are issues in at least one other state.

MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — Early data shows more than 2.1 million people voted in the 2024 General Election in Maricopa County, election officials said.

In a news release on Nov. 6, election officials said the results reported by Maricopa County as of 6:43 p.m. now represent 1,499,131 ballots, which is 57.94% of total eligible voters in the county.

According to the data, there are 2,587,197 registered voters who were eligible to vote in the election. 

The results tabulated so far represent ballots received up through part of Wednesday, Oct. 30, and the most recent update represents approximately 127,000 voters. 

On Election Day, more than 270,000 people checked in at Maricopa County Vote Centers, including people who cast provisional ballots.

So far, 248,372 ballots have been tabulated and results released. 

Another update is expected this evening between 10 and 11 p.m.
