PHOENIX — Results in three Arizona counties will be delayed, according to the Arizona Secretary of State. This comes after several polling places across the state and the nation received bomb threats.

Results in Apache, Cochise and LaPaz counties are expected to be delayed.

Four polling locations in Navajo County received bomb threats earlier in the day, according to the secretary of state's office. A threat to the Maricopa County Court was reported, as well as a "critical incident" at the La Paz County complex.

Another threat was reported at the Elections Office in Bisbee, according to the Cochise County Sheriff's Office. CCSO requested assistance from the Department of Defense Bomb Squad/Team to conduct internal and external sweeps of the building and the surrounding areas.

The building will "re-open as soon as all security measures have been completed," CCSO said.

Some voters in Navajo Nation in Apache County experienced long lines and wait times to vote because of machine malfunctions. Nine polling places will be open late because of the challenges voters faced while attempting to cast their ballots during the day.
