PHOENIX — Former Republican Congressman Joe Walsh will be in Arizona on Tuesday for a debate night watch party with fellow conservatives who are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris.

The event will be held from 4:45 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, but the location has not been announced. You can get more information by signing up for the event here

Walsh, an outspoken critic of former President Donald Trump and a one-time Tea Party leader, will speak to members of the Harris-Walz Advisory Committee about mobilizing Republican and Independent voters across Arizona. A spokesperson for the committee says they’ve expanded three-fold to 140 members since the DNC convention in August.

“You either believe, in this moment, that (Trump) is a threat to our democracy or you don’t. Stop there. There is nothing else to speak about,” Walsh recently told anti-Trump conservatives in Milwaukee

The Republicans for Harris movement got a boost last week after former Vice President Dick Cheney and former Congresswoman Liz Cheney both said they’ll be voting for Harris.

Jim McCain, son of the late Senator John McCain, also told 12News he is now a registered Democrat and is backing Harris.

“Look at her track record,” McCain told 12News. “She’ll bring that moderation, that bipartisanship, that we’ve been missing for so long.”  McCain also denounced Trump’s recent visit to Arlington National Cemetery.

Trump’s running mate, Senator J.D. Vance, downplayed the McCain family’s influence on the election when asked about it during a Phoenix visit last week. Vance said he did not believe Senator McCain would support Harris if he were alive today.

“If he were to see what’s going on at the southern border, I do not believe he would support Kamala Harris and all the destruction that she’s wrought,” Vance said.

Tuesday’s watch party will also include form McCain aide Wes Gullett, and former Arizona State Representatives Deb Gullett and Robin Shaw. Walsh is expected to discuss Harris’s “New Way Forward” economic plan, a campaign spokesperson said.
