Gov. Doug Ducey via KTAR interview:

First let me say, at this point, but without talking too many a partisan politics, Republicans have the Presidency, the Vice Presidency, majority in the House and Senate, 33 governorships, so of the Republican Party has certainly shown and demonstrated a lot of success throughout the country, across the coasts. There's so much breaking news right now, Jim, every day it's hard for me to keep up with with the day job. I'm focused on the State of Arizona. It seems to me that Washington has been at war with itself for some time. So I know there's a legal process that's playing out and I respect the legal process, but let's let it play out. Some of this is completely disconnected or not connected with the Presidency, other things they're trying. So I'll let the process play out and see where we are.

Rep. Raúl Grijalva via phone interview:

With the Mueller investigation and with the other court cases going on, this constant drip, drip, drip of information to the American public regarding what really went on will continue to happen. It will continue to damage the Trump administration as we go forward. And I think it intensifies a lot of issues. I think the president will get more desperate about fake news, don't believe anything you read. But at the end of the day, I think the American people are beginning to come to their own conclusions. That there is a "there" there. Our judicial system, our legal system is working, and that's the way it's supposed to work.

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema via email statement:

I support the special counsel’s independent investigation and am working across the aisle to ensure that Special Counsel Mueller’s work proceeds without interference. I will continue working with my colleagues to put country over party and make sure the investigation continues. Arizonans deserve answers.

Rep. Ruben Gallego via email statement:

President Trump's National Security Advisor, campaign chairman and personal lawyer have all now either pleaded guilty to -- or been convicted of -- criminal wrongdoing. In Michael Cohen's admission that he broke campaign finance laws at the direction of the President, we also have fresh and compelling evidence that Trump himself may have committed a serious crime. Given these developments, I once again urge House Republicans to cease their baseless attacks on Robert Mueller and join Democrats in supporting and protecting his investigation. Moreover, in order to safeguard the integrity of the Supreme Court, I strongly believe the only sensible course of action is to delay consideration of Judge Kavanagh's nomination.

Rep. Debbie Lesko via email statement:

Everyone needs to follow the law. Mr. Cohen’s comments are troubling. I look forward to seeing all the evidence from Special Counsel Mueller’s investigation.

We reached out to all of Arizona's representatives and various other figures for comment. We will update this story with additional responds as we receive them.
