PHOENIX - A 2-year-old child has died after drowning in a pool in Phoenix Saturday, according to Phoenix Fire.
Phoenix Fire was called just after 4 p.m. for a drowning call. Family members pulled the 2-year-old boy out of the backyard pool. The family performed CPR until Phoenix Police officers arrived on scene and took over.
Phoenix Fire arrived on scene and transported the boy to Maricopa County Hospital. Phoenix Fire had the boy to the hospital within 13 minutes of the initial call, they said.
Doctors pronounced the boy dead at the hospital.
