PHOENIX — A software issue that disrupted some AT&T customers Tuesday has been resolved, according to an AT&T spokesperson.

Several social media users reported being out of service for hours and most users were not happy with the reported lack of response from the company.

The company said in a statement to 12News that the software issue "disrupted the ability of a limited number of our customers to connect to our wireless network.  We apologize for the inconvenience, and we appreciate our customers’ patience as we worked to resolve this issue."

The company did not say exactly how many customers were affected.
