Every day my two kids go to class and every day I pray that they come home safely. The proliferation of guns hasn’t made campuses safer. It isn’t a problem for a responsible person like my husband to own guns. The problem is when mentally ill students get guns.
Mass shootings on campuses often involve a student with a mental illness. If we can’t enforce laws that will keep guns out of the hands of the mentally ill, then no one on campus should carry guns. No more campus shootings.
