CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. - MMA fighter Kimbo Slice has passed away.
Slice, whose real name was Kevin Ferguson, was hospitalized near his home in Coral Springs, Florida before passing away.
There is no official word yet on the cause of his death.
Slice first gained notoriety for a series of street fights on YouTube before fighting professionally.
He fought in the first nationally-televised prime-time MMA fight in 2008.
Slice was 42 years old.
