PEORIA, Ariz. — A Powerball ticket purchased in the West Valley is now worth $50,000 after Wednesday's drawing.
The Arizona Lottery said a ticket bought at a QuikTrip near 67th Avenue and Happy Valley Road has yielded a jackpot worth $50,000. The winning Powerball numbers for June 5 were 8, 44, 45, 51, 69, Powerball: 12.
Earlier this week, a Powerball ticket in Apache County also yielded a jackpot worth $50,000.

The county was named after the Maricopa, or Piipaash, Native American Tribe.
