Comedian and actor Will Ferrell arrived for Spring Training early Thursday morning.
His plan was not just going to a game; he's been in them all day, playing for 10 different teams, in every position.
After starting the day off with some yoga with the Oakland Athletics and some batting practice, Ferrell took to the field.
Five different ball parks, ten different Major League teams. After a quick stint with the Oakland A's, Ferrell traded in the "A" for a Mariners jersey.
Then it was off to Tempe where Ferrell threw on the Los Angeles Angels red and took off for center field where he made his first play of the day, a lob to second to keep the game flowing.
A quick wardrobe change and Ferrell threw on the Chicago Cubs 3rd base coaching role.
You can usually bet on some kind of fun from Ferrell on the field. In the past, he's had a pizza delivered to home plate, chased down a batter and butchered players' names in the lineup.
Once he arrived at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale and played an inning for the Diamondbacks, he hung out with fans and gave an entire section hot dogs.
That was just before his next stop with the Cincinnati Reds. By then, Ferrell was reportedly running two hours late to his next two games.
But let's not forget, this is a full-blown HBO production collaboration with Funny or Die. So the show must go on.
Ferrell's teaming up with HBO and Major League Baseball for a cancer awareness project and to raise money for Cancer for College, an organization that helps people with cancer go to college. The sketch will be on Funny or Die.
This is not the first time a celeb has joined in on Spring Training. Country singer Garth Brooks has played during Spring Training for the San Diego Padres.
