Firefighters in northeast Valley battle brush fire sparked by lightning

The fire burned about a quarter of an acre near Pinnacle Peak and Dobson Roads in north Scottsdale. Here are the latest details

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Firefighters are fighting a small brush fire in north Scottsdale caused by lightning from monsoon storms that rolled through the Valley on Sunday night, according to the Scottsdale Fire Department

The department said the fire was burning in brush on the 10500 block of Pinnacle Peak Road. Crews were able to stop the forward progress of the fire after it burned about a quarter of an acre. 

Crews are now working to extinguish the fire completely. 

No one was hurt and there were no traffic restrictions.
