ARIZONA, Texas — Fire crews are fighting the Peak Fire about two miles east of State Route 87 near Four Peaks, according to information from the Tonto National Forest.
As of May 12, the fire is 48% contained and is 360 acres. Fire crews made significant progress in securing the fire line, authorities said.
It began near Forest Road 143.
Seven engines and a large air tanker are responding to the area and more resources have been ordered, officials said.
Forest Road 143 is closed beginning at State Route 87 for the safety of firefighters.
