WITTMANN, Ariz. — A wind-driven fire near the Whispering Ranch community west of Wittman is 90% contained, officials with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said.
The Painted Wagon Fire is about 18 miles west of Wittman, about 150-250 acres, and is moving northwest, officials said.

Hand crews and fire engines with the department are fighting the flames. Additional support has been requested, officials said. There is no word on what caused the fire.
