FOUNTAIN HILLS, Ariz. — A brush fire prompted evacuations in a Fountain Hills neighborhood Tuesday night.
The fire was in a wash area near Fountain Hills Boulevard and Arrow Drive, according to the Fountain Hills Fire Department.
The fire has been contained at about four acres, Fountain Hills officials said. It burned through trees and thick brush but there was no damage to any structures.
Footage from Sky12 shows numerous fire engines on the scene and crews going through the wash area with flashlights. Hot spots can be seen burning. Fire department officials said crews will remain on scene for an extended period of time to monitor the area.
The fire appears to have been very close to homes.
