You can see a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall in Surprise

Just like the official Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C., visitors can etch the name of friends or loved ones on a piece of paper with black chalk. The "Moving Wall" is open 24 hours a day for viewing.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - A replica Vietnam Veterans Memorial wall, called "The Moving Wall" is in Surprise this weekend.

Visitors can view and pay their respects to the more than 58,000 names of service men and women who were either killed in the line of duty or are still missing.

"The Moving Wall" is a replica of the wall in Washington D.C. and is about half the size. It was created for the people who might not be able to travel to the actual memorial.

Just like the official memorial in Washington D.C., visitors can etch the name of friends or loved ones on a piece of paper with black chalk. Event organizers say the average age of names on the wall is 19 years old.

About 150 volunteers are assisting with the project in Surprise. Visitors wishing to see the wall can stop by until July 9 at noon. It's set up at Mark Coronado Park and is free to the public.

The "Moving Wall" is open 24 hours a day for viewing.
