PEORIA, Ariz. — A construction worker has been hospitalized after being hit by a truck while on the job in Peoria, according to authorities.

The Peoria Police Department said the worker has serious injuries.
The incident happened Wednesday evening at a construction site near 135th Drive and Blackstone Lane, police said.
Police said the truck involved was a water truck.
The truck's driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
